Feeling EmpowHERed in 2024!

Whew! Another amazing event - thanks to YOU!

It's hard for me to fully immerse myself in the day while also trying to keep things running smoothly. (I think that's something I'm going to change for the future so that I can be there to fully experience is with the rest of you.) But I believe that the messages you received on at EmpowHER 2024 was what you were brought there to hear. Whether you came late or you left early, the speakers that you listened to and the people that you sat by and the new connections that you made were meant to be.

And I loved seeing people reconnect that had met at Empower Her 2023. I just think that's SO cool! I love the idea of being that place where people come together, and seeing those reunions reminds me that I'm doing what I'm supposed to do. This really, truly feels like a calling from God to bring women together in community. I would do it regardless of how many people come. I've been so fortunate to have served 50 people last year and 50 more people this year. But whether there's 50 people or 300 people, or maybe even 10 people! I really believe that this women's conference was placed on my heart for a reason.

The past couple years of trying to find keynote speakers and workshop leaders has shown me that I'm not the only one looking for connection. Last year, one of the speakers told me that she ghad been talking to someone about wanting to speak in her hometown and there really wasn't an opportunity -- and then I reached out to her! This year, a dear friend of mine who agreed to be a keynote speaker, said to the group that this has been something on her heart, as well, and she was so thankful for this event.

My Keynote takeaways

Liz Fiedler:

"You can do anything! You can't do everything."

"I don't care what other people think. I care what my people think."

Cara Menz:

"There isn't one set path to elimination. Stop. Breathe. Forge a new path."

"She took a leap of faith and grew her wings on the way down."

"You can do hard things!"

Brooklyn Grotte:

"Just because it feels uncomfortable, doesn't mean you're incapable."

"Clean out the car. Do a gut check. Get out of the boat."

Kelly McIntee:

"Step into your Success 2.0."

"We have been passed a torch by past generations to carry it further."

I hope this event sparked something in you. Take what you have learned with you and use it to Elevate, Empower, & Evolve.

XO, Courtney
